Well, this is going to be a long post. Sorry not sorry.
I had a guy reach out to me on Etsy about making a plaque to recognize a group that he helped form. He sent me an AI generated photo and asked if I could do something similar. If you know me, I am always up for a challenge.
This one, though, is on another level. Licensing and other issues came to mind because of what his plan was and where the final destination of the plaque was going. I second guessed. I asked multiple people that I trust if it was something that I should take on given the nature of it. They told me that I would be crazy to turn down an opportunity to build something like this to be displayed in that place.
I asked the guy if someone from where he worked could send me files of those images so that I could see what I needed to do in order to make it happen. Within a few minutes I had files sent in an email I wasn’t expecting them to come from.
Took a while to figure out how to blend it all together, but with the help of some friends at school and Rich Forman we put it together.
Today it was presented to the White House Military Office during Justin Cremisio retirement ceremony. This is a small segment of the video and you cannot hear much, but coming from this veteran it was a super cool moment! Wow, is all I have for now.
I will add a picture that I took before I sent it in the comments.
