TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK
At Haynes Pest Control, we believe protecting our community sometimes means bringing together the right people with the right expertise. This project was one of those moments.
A nearly 100-year-old chimney in downtown Sebring had been home to bees for approximately six years. Unfortunately, they had recently become aggressive and were attacking lawn crews and creating a liability concern for the property owner and nearby pedestrians. After careful consideration, extermination was determined to be the only realistic and safest option available.
Haynes Pest Control, Inc. was proud to lead the treatment plan, utilizing our knowledge of insecticides, pesticides, and pest management practices to safely address the infestation.
The Bee Lady, LLC provided invaluable expertise in bee behavior, specialized PPE, and equipment to help ensure the project was completed safely and professionally. Following treatment, she will be overseeing the removal of resources from the chimney to help prevent future issues.
Ivan provided the bucket truck and structural expertise necessary to safely access this historic chimney while preserving its integrity and completing the permanent exclusion repairs.
This project could not have been completed by one company alone. It required collaboration, communication, and a shared commitment to doing what was best for both the client and the community.
We also want to make something very clear: Haynes Pest Control, Inc. and The Bee Lady, LLC do not promote or advertise honeybee extermination. Whenever possible, relocation and rehabilitation are always our preferred solutions. In rare circumstances where there is no safe or realistic alternative, public safety must remain our highest priority.
The only sting of the day belonged to the beekeeper—a small price to pay for a successful outcome and a reminder that safety is never an accident.
