STR NEEDS FROM A CLEANERS PROSPECTIVE
1. Install pool alarms/pool fence and child safe lock on exterior doors to pool area.
2. If you have stairs, ensure they are slip resistant, railing aren’t loose, install safety gates at top and bottom.
3. Have cleaners check every cabinet, drawer, under all furniture and inside closets for drugs, paraphernalia, guns, leftover belongings, and more.
4. Remove all food from previous guests in the fridge/pantry even condiments.
5. Make sure your cleaner does a detailed clean with check list every clean.
6. Have a good vacuum, broom & dust pan, all purpose cleaner for guest use. Increases the chance guests will use it.
7. Duvets and duvet covers or light weight coverlets, no thick comforters, this is usually an up charge to clean.
8. Make sure your cleaners document with time stamp pictures/video that everything is clean, working and undamaged prior to guest arrival. This will help in case of any damage claims or false claims from guests.
9. Make sure your washer/dryer has a quick wash/dry cycles.
10. Make sure you have 3 sets of everything. . (Towels/linen/duvet covers) 2 sets of mattress/pillow protecters and shower curtains
11.Have a locked owner/cleaner closet for consumables and linen.
12.Stay in your property occasionally (4-6 months) to ensure your space is kept up.
13.Set aside a full blocked day, after a check out, (guests pay for 1/2 of the fee) to do deep cleaning, every 6 months or as needed in high demand season. (Mattress protectors/pillow protectors/couch/throw pillows/curtains/shower curtains/shampooing carpets & furniture/detail blinds/change AC filters/swap out grill propane tanks)
