CONGRATULATIONS to SCWA member Benny Alford on his very special award. On Tuesday night, March 17, Benny Alford was inducted into the Baton Rouge Business Hall of Fame, one of the region’s highest honors recognizing business leaders for their lasting impact on the Baton Rouge community and local economy.

This honor highlights Benny’s role in growing a multi-generational family business, his commitment to the community, and his contributions to modernizing the car wash industry. Benny and his sons, Justin and Jason, pioneered the present-day express car wash system. This streamlined process transformed the customer experience and set the standard used across the industry today.

He was also recognized for building a strong, people-first culture, with many long-tenured employees who have contributed to the company’s continued success, as the business has grown to employ over 400 people across the Baton Rouge area.

“Being inducted into the Baton Rouge Business Hall of Fame is an incredible honor,” said Benny Alford.
“I’m grateful for this community, my family, and our team who have made this journey possible.”
Benny’s induction comes as Benny’s Car Wash celebrates 75 years in business.

Benny has also been recognized by SCWA with the Lifetime Achievement Award - the highest honor to be given by SCWA.

This year, SCWA introduced an exciting new initiative: NextGen Under 30. This program recognizes and celebrates rising leaders under the age of 30 who have demonstrated exceptional skill, dedication, and professionalism early in their car wash careers. The 2026 honorees have already made a meaningful impact on their companies and on the car wash industry as a whole. Our 2026 NextGen Honorees were recognized during ceremonies at the 2026 SCWA Convention & EXPO. They will be featured in the first quarter issue of the SCWA ADVANTAGE. Congratulations to the 2026 NextGen recipients from SCWA!
