No swimming planned this Halloween? It’s still a good time for a quick pool safety check.

With trick-or-treaters coming and going, make sure your pool gate is securely closed and self-latching, outdoor lighting is working, and decorations or extension cords aren’t creating hazards around the yard.

And if you’re handing out candy from the driveway or front porch, keep the backyard and pool area closed off so curious little ghosts and goblins don’t wander where they shouldn’t.
