Don't wipe it dry: Fireworks leave behind a ton of dusty ash. If you see it on your car tomorrow morning, do not just grab a rag and wipe it off dry. That dust has tiny, sharp particles in it that act like sandpaper and will scratch your paint.
Rinse it down first: The safest move is to give the car a thorough hose-down with water to flood the ash off the paint before you actually touch it to wash it.
Park smart: If you know the neighbors are putting on a massive show right by your driveway, try to park in the garage or a little further down the street to keep the falling debris off your vehicle.
