Ever wonder what 2½ hours of advanced flight training looks like? ✈️

Yeah… something like this. 😂

One of our Augusta Flying Club members recently traveled outside the area to work toward an advanced rating. Judging by the flight track, they definitely got their money’s worth.

But this is also something we really like about AFC: being a member is about more than having access to airplanes.

Our members are constantly building experience, earning new ratings, traveling, and bringing that knowledge back to the club. We have experienced flight instructors within our membership who can also provide instruction outside of club aircraft.

That means more experience gets shared, more questions get answered, and all of us have an opportunity to become better pilots.

Many pilots are better than one.

And judging by this track… this pilot should be really good at turns now. 😂✈️

Summer flying in Georgia means learning to work with weather. ⛈️✈️

Afternoon buildups, changing routes, deviations, and knowing when the right answer is simply not today are all part of becoming a better pilot.

One of the best things about Augusta Flying Club isn’t just access to airplanes — it’s access to other pilots.

Our members share weather reports, experiences, lessons learned, routes that worked (and ones that didn’t), and help each other make better decisions. Whether you have 100 hours or 10,000, there’s always something you can learn from the pilot next to you.

Flying is an activity where experience matters — and at AFC, you don’t have to rely only on your own.
