I drove 105 miles for what started as a grill assembly project.

I knew I was in for an adventure when I walked in and saw the grill already halfway assembled.

The homeowner had the best intentions — boxes opened, parts everywhere, instructions spread out, and a grill that looked like it had officially won the battle. 😅

After a quick inspection, I delivered the good news:

"All the parts are here!"

From there, it was just a matter of sorting through the hardware, undoing a couple of "creative engineering decisions," and putting everything together the way the manufacturer intended.

A little later, the grill was fully assembled and ready to go.

Moral of the story? Just because the box says "easy assembly" doesn't mean it's telling the truth.
