Moving day is exciting… until you notice the blinds are basically dust curtains 😭

For a move-in clean, don’t skip them—dirty blinds hold dust, pet hair, and grime that gets blown right back into your “fresh” home every time you open a window.

How we deep clean move-in blinds (the real way):
• Dry dust first (microfiber, duster, or vacuum brush attachment)
• Remove the blinds (quick pop off the brackets—take a photo first so rehanging is easy)
• Bathtub soak:
• Lay a towel in the tub (protects the finish + keeps them from sliding)
• Fill with warm water + a little dish soap
• Let them soak 10–20 minutes
• Gently wipe each slat with a microfiber cloth or soft sponge
• Rinse well and shake off excess water
• Air-dry fully (hang over the shower rod or outside in shade)
• Rehang once they’re completely dry to avoid drips and water spots

Pro tip: If they’re sticky, that’s usually kitchen grease + dust. Add a tiny bit of degreaser after the soak and wipe gently (don’t scrub hard—especially on faux wood).
