💚 FIVE YEARS IN THE MAKING. 💚

This one means a lot.

For the past five years, we’ve been chasing a goal that at times felt so far away. There have been years we grew like crazy, years we struggled, setbacks, lessons, hard decisions, long days, and plenty of moments where I wondered when we were finally going to get there.

We got there. 🥹💚

At this year’s CBF event, I had the absolute honor of receiving my green jacket from Debbie Sardone and Cleaning Business Fundamentals, recognizing Your Fresh Start for reaching a major milestone in our growth.

Watching this video back gets me every time. Hearing my name called, running up there giving high fives, and having Debbie put that jacket on me… I knew exactly what those few seconds represented. Five years of working toward that moment.

But that jacket does not belong to just me.

It represents every person who has worn a Your Fresh Start shirt and helped us get here. Every technician who has walked into a home and taken care of our clients. Every office team member who has answered the phones, fixed the schedules, solved the problems, and kept things moving. And every client who has trusted us with their home, referred a friend, left us a review, or continued choosing us year after year.

It represents the mistakes we learned from, the people who believed in us, and a little cleaning company in Athens, Ohio that just kept growing. 💚

Five years ago, this was a goal. This year, I got to put on the jacket.

I am so incredibly proud of this team and what we have built together.

And we’re not done yet. 💚

❤ Today is the end of an era at Your Fresh Start.
After 7 years, today is Jan’s last day with Your Fresh Start as she officially heads into retirement.🥹
Jan holds a pretty special place in the history of this company because she was my second employee ever.
She was here when Your Fresh Start looked VERY different than it does today. She has watched this little company grow year after year, and she has grown right along with it. Over the last seven years, Jan has cleaned homes, taken on different roles, worked behind the scenes, helped keep our days running, supported our team, and been there through more changes, challenges, celebrations, and crazy moments than I could ever fit into one Facebook post.
When you build a business, there are certain people who become part of its story. Jan will forever be one of those people for Your Fresh Start.
Seven years of showing up.
Seven years of loyalty.
Seven years of watching this crazy dream turn into what it is today.
And I am so incredibly grateful.❤
Thankfully, this isn’t really goodbye for me. Jan may be retiring from Your Fresh Start, but I somehow convinced her that taking care of my babies would be a relaxing retirement plan.😄 She is trading in her admin duties to become our nanny, and I couldn’t imagine someone I would trust more with two of the most important little people in my life.👪
Jan, thank you for believing in me and this company all those years ago. Thank you for sticking around through the growing pains, the chaos, the good years, the hard years, and everything in between.
Your Fresh Start would not be what it is today without people like you who helped build it from the beginning.
