Hello, my name is Mark Kemper and I am the owner of Clean Slate Pressure Washing. I have always wanted to start a business. I enjoy looking back on work I have done and seeing the before and after difference. I take pride in knowing I made such a difference. The idea of Clean Slate really started by simply looking around me. I look around and I see new buildings popping up all over the area. I the
n look at older buildings and acknowledge when these older structures are beside newer ones, the older ones do not look so nice. I see the same thing with a newly poured section of sidewalk and wonder, "Why". If someone would just clean this, it would look almost as good as the new one right beside it. As time went on, I noticed it more and more. I want to take things that are old, and make them new again. I want to drive around and say, "This place looks great". I believe I can make a difference everyone who drives by can appreciate. I want people to look around and see the hidden potential in things. I feel people waste a lot of money by painting buildings, when they could have simply just cleaned it. That is where Clean Slate comes into the picture. Partly because my name is Mark, but mainly because I really do want to make a difference. That is why I am donating 10% of my profit from every job to charity. 2% will go to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Nashville TN. St. Jude's is a wonderful place that helps children with cancer and their families with so much I feel they deserve some help. I may not be able to send much if I do not make this company the success I know it can be, but this place has always held a special place in my heart. 2% will go to P.E.P (Progressive Education Program) of Buncombe county. P.E.P. is an education program that helps children with special needs by tailoring how each child with special needs learns best, then developing an education plan revolving around that. The wonderful people of P.E.P. put the kids first. Instead of the kids adapting to school, P.E.P. makes sure school adapts to the kids. 2% will go to Four Seasons Hospice in Flat Rock North Carolina and 2% to Cancer Care of Western North Carolina. The last 2% will be donated to The Olson Huff Center in Asheville North Carolina to help assist families with children diagnosed with Autism. Rest assured, Clean Slate will make a mark by cleaning up our communities and by helping others.
