A closet transformation that completely changed this room.

This Arlington family had been planning this project for a long time. Their child’s closet was filled with an older shelving system that wasted valuable space and no longer met the family’s needs.

Before installing the new custom IKEA closet system, we first had to carefully remove the existing shelving and supports attached to the walls. As with most closet remodels, the demolition left drywall damage that required professional repairs, surface preparation, and painting before the new system could be installed.

We also removed an outdated sliding door system that had become difficult to use over the years and prepared the opening for future upgrades.

Once the walls were repaired and freshly painted, we installed and adjusted the new closet system, creating a space that is:

Lighting upgrades can completely change the feeling of a home.

For this project in Arlington, a wonderful returning client trusted us with several lighting improvements throughout their home.

We replaced an old front porch fixture with a brighter, more energy efficient LED light to improve visibility and safety at the main entrance.

Inside the living room, we installed two new wall lights. Since the new fixtures were smaller than the previous ones, we also handled the necessary paint touch ups to leave the area looking clean and finished.

In the laundry room, we replaced an outdated ballast light fixture with a custom fit LED ceiling light, creating a brighter, cleaner, and lower maintenance solution.

One day. Multiple repairs. One safer, more protected home.

After months of strong winds, winter weather, rain, dust, and daily use, this Arlington home needed a full maintenance day to bring several important details back to life.

It started with an exterior shutter that had fallen from the third floor, over 28 feet high. The challenge was not only installing a new one safely, but also finding the same style, matching the existing exterior color, preparing it properly, applying primer, painting it, and installing it so it would look original to the home and last for years.

Then we repaired the front door threshold, which was cracked and had damaged wood underneath. This type of issue may look small, but it can allow water, air, noise, insects, and energy loss into the home. We replaced and sealed it carefully without needing to replace the entire door frame.

We also restored the rear balcony door, which had become stuck after a long time without use. We removed the door, cleaned the track, lubricated the hardware, repaired the handle, adjusted the frame, and brought the door back to smooth operation.

Everything was completed in one day with careful preparation, clean work, and professional attention to detail.

When tenants move out, the real work begins.

This rental property in Falls Church needed more than a quick touch up. It needed a serious transformation.

The walls had holes, dents, stains, damaged trim, bathroom moisture issues, and kitchen cabinet doors with multiple drilled holes from security locks. After years of rental use, the home needed to be brought back to life.

Our team repaired the damaged walls, restored and painted the kitchen cabinets, refreshed the first and second floor with quality paint, repaired trim details, and gave the property a clean, bright, move in ready look again.

This project was very special for us because it was our first large Home Improvement project after receiving our Virginia Class A license.

A new office is more than a new space. It is a new chapter.

We recently had the opportunity to help a wonderful Arlington family as they moved their law firm into a larger, more elegant office. New space, new furniture, new energy, and a lot of important details to bring everything together.

For us, furniture assembly is never “just assembly.” Every piece matters. The angles, the alignment, the position, the balance, and the final look all have to feel right, especially in a professional space where clients form their first impression the moment they walk in.

Not every damaged deck, fence, gate, porch, or staircase needs to be completely replaced.

One of the exterior repairs we specialize in most is restoring older wood structures that have been worn down by years of rain, humidity, ice, seasonal movement, and daily use. Over time, wood begins to rot, posts lose strength, stairs become unstable, gates start sagging, and doors get stuck. Many older structures were originally built with nails, and as the years pass, those connections loosen and the structure becomes less safe and less reliable.

In this project, we helped bring a beautiful home’s exterior structure back to life. Parts of the fence had already fallen because the posts were badly rotted, and one of them had no proper concrete footing, which made the entire section unstable. The gate had also suffered major wear from constant use, and the most damaged wood and support areas had already begun to split.

We also repaired critical sections of the stairs, including the main post and multiple handrail areas that had been affected by rot. Instead of forcing the homeowner into the cost of rebuilding everything from scratch, we focused on the most compromised structural areas, replaced them with new pressure treated wood, installed proper concrete footings, added new posts, reinforced the structure, leveled key sections, and secured everything with the correct exterior grade fasteners designed for this type of work.

The result was a safer, stronger, more stable structure with many more years of life ahead.

A beautiful bathroom should stay beautiful.

One of the most common problems we keep seeing in Arlington and across Northern Virginia is bathroom ceiling peeling caused by trapped moisture after hot showers. Over time, steam can build up and start damaging the ceiling, especially when the exhaust fan is not working properly, the bathroom has no window, the paint is old, or the wrong products were used in the past.

For this home in Fairfax, we were trusted to restore not just one bathroom ceiling, but two. Both bathrooms had ongoing moisture damage, peeling paint, and failed ventilation. We carefully protected the surrounding areas, removed the damaged material, treated the affected surfaces, and rebuilt the finish using the proper primer, products, and bathroom-grade paint for a durable result.

We also took care of a kitchen drawer that had worn out after years of daily use. After opening it up, we found broken parts inside the soft-close system. We ordered the correct replacement hardware to match the existing setup and installed it precisely so everything worked smoothly again.

When a family moves into a new home, every detail matters. Especially the spaces that keep daily life organized and stress free.

This Arlington family had just moved into a beautiful new home and needed a serious storage solution in their basement. Not a temporary setup. Not wire shelving. They wanted a permanent closet system built entirely in wood, strong enough to hold heavy boxes, deliveries, seasonal items, and educational games, while matching the quality and finishes of their home.

We started with a completely clean space and took precise measurements before selecting the right materials. The goal was durability and long term stability. We chose treated, high quality wood designed to stay straight and solid over time.

To prevent sagging and ensure strength, we installed continuous supports anchored around the entire perimeter of the walls. From there, we built a custom L shaped shelving system to fully maximize the space.

The back wall was designed with 20 inch deep shelves to easily hold large and heavy boxes. The side wall was built with 16 inch depth for balance and accessibility. To make the most of the room, we installed three full levels of shelving, using the vertical space efficiently without overcrowding the area.

Every shelf was carefully aligned, leveled, and secured. Once the structure was complete, we finished everything with clean paint work so the system blended seamlessly with the rest of the home.

The result is a solid, permanent storage solution that feels intentional, safe, and built for real family life. This type of project is what we truly enjoy, combining planning, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.

We handle everything from measurements and material selection to installation, anchoring, painting, and final testing.
