One thing I’ve been working on lately is taking time to reflect.
I’m always focused on the next goal, the next challenge, and the next level. Because of that, I don’t always give myself credit for how far I’ve come.
Today I was thinking about the past few months. We lost five employees. Two I knew about, but three happened over the span of a single weekend. The old version of me would have been stressed, worried, and wondering what was next.
This time was different. Instead of seeing a problem, I saw an opportunity.
Today we have eight hungry, motivated technicians, we’ve added an A-player to our leadership team, and we just had a record-breaking month.
Life has a funny way of reminding us that every challenge carries an opportunity if we’re willing to look for it.
Take time to reflect. Not to live in the past, but to recognize how it has shaped you. You’ve probably grown a lot more than you give yourself credit for.
Keep your eyes on the future version of yourself you’re working toward, but don’t forget to appreciate the progress you’ve already made.
