Village of Ansonia residents Jorgensen Company will be in Tuesday morning July, 7 2026 to start milling asphalt on Canal St. all the way thru the Village. Paving will be following soon. Thank you.

Ansonia residents Walls Brothers will be in town making repairs to East and West Canal St. today and possibly tomorrow. This is why the No Parking signs have been put up. Thank you.

Just wanted to let residents know that starting Monday, June 15, 2026 thru Thursday, June 18, 2026 there will be a company in the Village checking water service line material like they did earlier this spring. They will mainly be working on High and Weller Streets. Thank you !

The Council of the Village of Ansonia would like to address recent concerns related to an ongoing investigation of a homicide outside the Village of Ansonia.

Council was not made aware of, nor did it approve, any actions taken by the Police Chief or the Mayor in relation to this matter whether in their individual capacity or in their capacity as representatives of the Village of Ansonia. Any comments or positions that were taken were not taken on behalf of the Village Council.

Please know that Council is committed to transparency, accountability, and maintaining the trust of our residents. While Council will not take a position on the case, Council will fully cooperate to the extent needed in any investigation and will stand in full support of the legal process as it plays out in the Court.
