Have a few customers that are experiencing a bumble bee/yellow jacket wasp that is just hovering around their deck. They fly in to check them out or dive bomb at them. These are typically male carpenter bees. If you go to the underside of your deck or somewhere you have wood you may find the female drilling the holes she will lay eggs in. The male does not have a stinger but, is very intimidating.
