Hi everyone! It's been a while since I've posted a Tip Tuesday...but I've been healthy and busy. Here's a good one for ya! Our love-hate relationship w vertical blinds doesn't have to be to avoided if you know how to love them. Take them off their lock carefully and soak them in hot water w dawn and a little clorox. Sorry people but vinegar won't do it better. I soak them for 10 mins then transfer to dishwasher and put them on heavy wash. Please be cautious of your heat setting. Keep an eye on that and stop the heat Session once it starts. Your dishwasher will have accumulated enough heat to dry them. Only do heat dry for the very thick blinds. The cheaper ones will melt or take the circle shape they washed in. You can also use this process w cloth blinds. Just no heat at all. Let them air dry outside. You will need to do this process several times depending on how many blinds you have. It's a great weekend project!
