I have always enjoyed using tools to fix and build things, which has followed me through the years and has become my chosen professional path. Besides learning how to be a hard worker, at a young age I was taught some very valuable lessons; clean up after yourself, pay attentio
n to what you are doing, always tell the truth. I didn't know then that these lessons would someday become the founding principles of my company. During the end of my high school years I worked in various kitchens and before leaving the restaurant industry I held a shift management position. After working in a print shop stacking magazine pages and cleaning huge printing presses, I made the vocational transition into construction. After 2 years of service I was promoted to a department supervisor for a precast concrete company. It was during that time that I went back to college to earn my Bachelor's degree in Business Management. During the last years of my college education, in 2001, I started Petroske's Construction Services to clean up drywall scraps as an independent contractor. This provided introduction to many of Lehigh Valley's new home builders. My reputation with the builders awarded me the opportunity to shift PCS in a new direction and to expand its services. During the explosion of new home construction in the Lehigh Valley, PCS built decks and installed screen porches for several builders. With the increased workload, I hired my first employee to help with the cleanup work. My crew and I had performed a wide variety of warranty repairs, deck and screen porch installation, and cleaning/maintenance services for some of the Lehigh Valley's largest builders. PCS still holds its roots as a cleanup service providing all types of cleaning during construction for builder/developers. As the 'Deck Guy' or 'Warranty's Repairman' I was frequently asked, "What else do you do?" Over the years I have worked on everything from slate roofs to all types of flooring installation, remodeled interiors, installed doors/windows, and worked on everything else top to bottom, inside and out, taking care of any project a home could require. I have recently begun to work with realtors and their clients as a registered Home Improvement Contractor to correct inspection issues or to serve as a Project Manager for 203K loan applicants. I also work effectively with Landlords to properly repair rental unit damage up to and including kitchen and bathroom rehabilitation or full replacement. Moving forward, I will be expanding on my knowledge of environmentally responsible products and procedures and to familiarize with myself with Green building techniques. This way I can provide homeowners with more Green options for their remodeling projects.
