Although full services car washes are not a new concept for areas like the DFW metroplex, they were unheard of in Denton until 1987. That's when the owners of Lone Star Car Wash first broke ground and began constructing the building that Denton knows today. Yet, before the first shovel
pierced the Earth, the owners of Lone Star Car Wash were constructing the philosophy of how they wanted to treat their patrons. They envisioned a modern full service car wash with service based on old fashioned values. They wanted their patrons to know that they were not just another wash job, but wanted to develop a relationship with every patron. So they made a comfortable lounge area to relax in while their vehicles are being done. The wash tunnel was constructed with large windows so their patrons could see their vehicles go down the automated tunnel where state of the art equipment delicately applies quality soaps and waxes. The lounge area features cable television, air conditioning and heating, free coffee and water, drink machines, or the patron has the choice of relaxing on the bench located in the drying area. Besides regular services, the owners wanted to offer quality detail service where their patrons could have their car professionally washed and waxed and have the interior cleaned.
