Good evening. These are some pics from a couple of jobs in recent weeks. The white carpet is fairly self explanatory, heavy soiling in front of the sofa and recliner. The spots in the door threshold are filtration soiling. The microscopic particles in the air are heavier than the air that carries them and when the airflow meets resistance (a closed door) the particles settle. Good evening. This post will be somewhat long, so if you don't want to do a little reading, scroll on past.

Since June of 1991 I've owned and operated Alan's Cleaning Service, serving Stanly, Cabarrus and Montgomery Counties, with other areas served with a nominal fee. I've provided carpet, upholstery cleaning and VCT floor stripping, refinishing and buffing services for the past 34 and a half years, with a total of 39 and a half years in the cleaning industry.

I started my business in June of 91 with a single thought in mind, to be the best carpet and upholstery cleaning company that I could be, while providing my clients with the maximum return on their cleaning dollar. I have made some wonderful friendships along the way while providing a satisfying and rewarding career for myself. I can honestly say that I've enjoyed every moment of my career and I sincerely thank each and every one of you for the opportunity to be your cleaning provider of choice. I may be self employed, but my wonderful clients have made it possible for me to earn a living doing something that I truly love, and for that, I offer you a very heartfelt thank you.

With all of this said I have decided, along with discussions with my wife and family that effective December 31st, 2025 I will cease operations and begin my retirement January 1st, 2026. It has been one of the greatest privileges of my life to be able to do something that I never considered work.

I am in discussion with someone (through a third party) about the possibility of buying my business. Whatever transpires I will do my absolute best to keep my clients up to speed as far as the possible sale.

I can't say thank you enough to all of my loyal clients and friends. If I only worked for you once, annually or over the years on one of my maintenance programs I thank you, from the bottom of my heart. It has been my privilege and pleasure to serve your cleaning needs. Thank you, very, very much!

Single room of carpet in an empty rental home. Not exactly sure what all of the dark spots are but I'm leaning towards cigarette ashes. To***co, when consumed by fire contains over 4000 separate chemical compounds, of which 43 are known carcinogenic compounds. This is why it's almost impossible to totally remove cigarette ash stains. It cleaned up well enough for one more use, but I advised the owners that a replacement would be recommended after the next tenant moves out. It will be lease with option to buy. Long time client called me over the weekend and said that she had an ankle that started bleeding on her new carpet. Carpet is roughly 3 months old and she was sitting in her favorite chair and noticed something warm on her ankle. She looked down and saw blood gushing with every beat of her heart. She made her way to the bathroom and took care of the bleeding, then turned her attention to the carpets, applying several different products (one containing the word "oxy" in it) which is a natural reaction to try to remove a spot or spill, but there is no "one size fits all) product. Notice how they aren't really red anymore? That's due to her attempts at spot cleaning. I pre-tested a couple of areas with a protein spotter and got just a little response, so I hooked up and began the cleaning process. To my surprise they began to disappear! I also applied a defoaming product to neutralize the residues left behind from her cleaning attempts. The best advice I can give is, should you find yourself in a similar situation only apply water and blot to prevent setting of the spill and then contact your favorite cleaning professional to remove your issues.

Well, well, well. Here we are, on the 8th day of September! Hard to believe, right! Also harf to believe that, just around the corner, are the holidays. Good morning. Last week I cleaned a sofa and recliner, with the head oils area on the recliner being the worst of it. With a little time and the proper solvent I was able to completely remove the head oils and leave the owner with a big smile on their face! Good morning, and happy Memorial Day to everyone. I cleaned this living room last Friday for someone who was sent to me by referral from another long time client. They have the most friendly dog that I've had the pleasure of meeting in some time! Anyway, you can clearly see where the sofa and loveseat sat as I moved them for the cleaning process. I cleaned these carpets yesterday afternoon and didn't have time to post them yet. White carpeting in a formal living and dining rooms. Overall soiling wasn't too bad but more spotted. Normally darker spots are easier to remove but these presented a challenge to remove. The carpets on the stairwell don't have padding beneath and have some crushing effects to them, hence the "shaded" appearance. When the owner got home she was thrilled with the results!
