Ok everyone. I have exciting news! I'm completely booked out for the foreseeable future and have started a wait list. This being said, please don't hesitate to reach out and see if I have a random opening. You can also ask to be put on my cancelation list. This list will be for last minute cleanings to fill a canceled spot, you may only have a few hours notice of the opening. As for the wait list, I will start at the top of the list and work my way down until the spot is filled. Please be patient with me. I do this completely by myself. All the scheduling, cleaning, book keeping, accounting, supply ordering and everything. I'm also still doing my free cleanings and my emergency home inspection cleanings. I have a lot on my plate but I'm so grateful for the understanding of all my current clients. I've been extremely blessed with my clientele and I truly can't thank you guys enough!!

The History of 'APRONS'
I don't think most kids today know what an apron is. The principle use of Mom's or Grandma's apron was to protect the dress underneath because she only had a few. It was also because it was easier to wash aprons than dresses and aprons used less material. But along with that, it served as a potholder for removing hot pans from the oven.
It was wonderful for drying children's tears, and on occasion was even used for cleaning out dirty ears.
From the chicken coop, the apron was used for carrying eggs, fussy chicks, and sometimes half-hatched eggs to be finished in the warming oven.
When company came, those aprons were ideal hiding places for shy kids..
And when the weather was cold, she wrapped it around her arms.
Those big old aprons wiped many a perspiring brow, bent over the hot wood stove.
Chips and kindling wood were brought into the kitchen in that apron.
From the garden, it carried all sorts of vegetables. After the peas had been shelled, it carried out the hulls.
In the fall, the apron was used to bring in apples that had fallen from the trees.
When unexpected company drove up the road, it was surprising how much furniture that old apron could dust in a matter of seconds.
When dinner was ready, she walked out onto the porch, waved her apron, and the men folk knew it was time to come in from the fields to dinner.
It will be a long time before someone invents something that will replace that 'old-time apron' that served so many purposes.
Send this to those who would know (and love) the story about aprons.
REMEMBER:
Mom's and Grandma's used to set hot baked apple pies on the window sill to cool. Her granddaughters set theirs on the window sill to thaw.
They would go crazy now trying to figure out how many germs were on that apron.
I don't think I ever caught anything from an apron - but love.

Oh Alice services many different towns. From macy, Logansport, bunker Hill, Urbana to Rochester, Wabash, Denver, Monticello... you get the point. I'm looking for more ways to support those communities that have supported me. I currently do a free clean once a month for someone in need, and am looking into sponsorship of a t-ball team for Denver youth league next year, as well as a few other thoughts rolling around in my head. What would everybody like to see done or supported in your community and what can my company do to help? I'll take all the ideas, thank you!

I am filling up very quickly. I do believe I am finished with getting caught up on inquiries and appointments but if by chance you haven't heard back from me please reach out!! It has been a crazy month with me taking a vacation and a death in the family. I can't thank all my clients enough for your patience and understanding! I appreciate you all so very much!

It's ok if your previous housekeeper wasn't a good fit for your family. It's ok if I'm not a good fit for your family. We all have different needs and different ideas of what needs or should be done. Please keep that in mind. There is nothing wrong with trying to find that perfect fit. What's best for you isn't always what's best for your neighbors or friends. Communicate with those companies you hire to be in your home, nobody can read your mind and most of the time we appreciate those who do Communicate. It's not easy stepping into a strangers home and trying to do things to their individual standards.
