Hello, my name is Vlad. I have been doing lines on motorcycles since 2009, examples of work can be seen on the wings and immediately on the sidecar of a motorcycle. We apply lines with special brushes, of this kind, with a long pile.
Handle size - from small to long. As it is convenient for anyone. I am comfortable working with short ones, sometimes I even cut even shorter.
We use special paints, auto enamels, but we add a secret ingredient 🧙♂️🧙♂️ to keep the line much longer, it is not subject to solvents and does not fade for a long time.
- Acrylic or alkyd paint?
- Completely acrylic paints.
First, before application, the surface is completely degreased.
This is usually done with the most common anti-silicone, but it is better before degreasing the finished painted part. It is better to check for another unnecessary part, which is painted with the same paint. Because there are anti-silicones due to which a matte surface appears
This is not entirely correct and the result will not be beautiful.
We degreased the surface, prepare a brush.
We have already worked with this brush - we have drawn lines on these 2 details.
To begin with, we completely rinse the brush, then be sure to remove everything unnecessary so that our hands always remain clean. Extra smudges, they will only interfere with work
We collect paint, and on any magazine or any clean surface we blot the entire brush with paint.
You can look at the paint, add a hardener to make it thinner or thicker.
Most importantly, pay attention so that no drops form on the edge of the brush!
