We are thrilled to announce the successful launch of Zamil 80 - the first of three state-of-the-art 60m DP2 Fast Support Intervention Vessels (FSIV) designed by Incat Crowther and classed to American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) for Zamil Offshore Services Company.

The high speed FSIVs are powered by four MTU 16V4000 engines coupled to ZF gearboxes driving Hamiltonjet HT810 waterjets. Manoeuvrability of the DP2-certified vessels is enhanced by three Hydromaster tunnel bow thrusters, allowing safe docking and unloading of cargo and personnel. Two of the main engines will be coupled to 1200 m3/hr firefighting pumps offering FiFi-1 capability.

Classed by American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and equipped with innovative safety features, these vessels set a new standard for pilot boat operations in Singapore, enhancing both operational safety and performance.

The solar panels on our workshops generated 406,000 kWh of electricity in 2023. This is equivalent to saving 170 tons of CO2 for the year.

Beyond simply powering our production facilities, the solar energy generated also contributed to charging the batteries onboard Yinson GreenTech's groundbreaking fully electric crew and cargo transfer vessels - the Hydromover and Hydroglyder. The sustainable power source has significantly reduced emissions produced by the vessels during their testing and trials at our shipyard.

Hydromover has picked up the 2023 Best Electric Cargo Vessel award from Work Boat World!

The 18.5m Full Electric catamaran was built in collaboration with Goal Zero Consortium members such as Yinson GreenTech (as Owners and systems solutions provider), SeaTech Solutions International (S) Pte Ltd (as Designers), RINA (as Class), Shift Clean Energy (as battery technology partners), Singapore Institute of Technology and TCOMS - Technology Centre for Offshore and Marine, Singapore (as R&D partners) with support from Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and Singapore Maritime Institute (SMI).

The lightweight, 18.5m Hydromover is Singapore’s first fully electric cargo vessel. The vessel is designed with swappable battery solutions and can carry up to 25 tonnes of cargo. It generates zero emissions and can potentially reduce operational costs by up to 50% compared to conventional vessels due to improved energy efficiency and lower maintenance costs.

2 units of 23m Work Boats have been delivered to NSW – Nakilat SvitzerwijsMuller. They have been shipped out of Singapore and are on their way to Qatar.

Powered by twin Caterpillar Inc. C18 main engines and twin C4.4 generators, the steel hull with aluminium superstructure vessels comfortably exceeded its contract speed of 12 knots. The vessels have been built to Bureau Veritas | Marine & Offshore Class.

With its spacious and well-equipped main deck and interior, the vessels are ready to fulfil the various roles expected of them such as mooring, pilotage, towing and offshore maintenance.

Our 33m Crew Boats built for NSW – Nakilat SvitzerwijsMuller has been conferred the 2023 Work Boat World Best Small Crew Boat Award from Baird Maritime!

All 3 of these crew boats have made the long delivery voyage from Singapore to Qatar sailing on its own power and immediately commenced their on-hire shortly after arrival, an ultimate testament to the vessels' seaworthiness, reliability and build quality.

The first of three units of 33m Crew Boats for NSW – Nakilat SvitzerWijsmuller has departed the shipyard and is sailing on its own power to Qatar. The other two sister vessels will be joining her very soon and they will serve as crew transfer and wellhead maintenance vessels for QatarEnergy.

Designed by Incat Crowther and classed to Bureau Veritas | Marine & Offshore, the vessel’s main deck features generously spaced passenger seating, a spacious officers’ lounge with refreshment center and two bathrooms. Her large deck cargo can hold up to ten tonnes of payload, ensuring the vessel can perform the dual role of transporting personnel and crucial equipment.

The vessels are powered by a pair of Caterpillar C32 main propulsion engines and three C4.4 generators.

Singapore's first fully electric cargo vessel, Hydromover, was publicly unveiled at a launch ceremony held yesterday, marking a significant milestone in the decarbonisation of Singapore's maritime industry.

The Hydromover is a 18.5m catamaran designed and built with swappable battery solutions and can carry up to 25 tonnes of cargo. It generates zero emissions and can potentially reduce operational costs by up to 50% compared to conventional vessels due to improved energy efficiency and lower maintenance costs.

Yinson GreenTech spearheaded Hydromover’s programme management, system solutions and commercialisation. SeaTech Solutions International Pte Ltd spearheaded the vessel design; Shift Clean Energy was the battery technology partner; RINA was the classification society; while Lita Ocean was the builder of the Hydromover.

RINA also handed over the Certificate of Classification to YGT during the event, signifying the Hydromover’s admission to class survey and compliance with RINA Rules for battery-powered vessels. The vessel has also passed an extensive risk assessment relating to battery operation and swapping, ensuring compliance with the most stringent international safety standards in the maritime industry.

The 714 Solar Panels on our workshops generated 435,000 kWh of electricity in 2022. This is equivalent to saving 177 tons of CO2 or 8,845 trees for the year.

This has significantly lowered our dependence on grid electricity generated from non-renewable resources and reduced our carbon footprint from our activities to contribute to a greener environment.

We are excited to be a part of the Goal Zero Consortium to design, build and operationalize Singapore's first full-electric, zero-emissions cargo vessel with battery swapping technology. CNA and other news media were at our shipyard recently to feature the construction of the "Hydromover" and to interview Consortium leaders SeaTech Solutions International Pte Ltd and Yinson GreenTech.

Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore - MPA has set the target for the harbourcraft sector to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050 and from 2030, all new harbourcraft operating in our port waters must be fully electric, be capable of using B100 biofuel or be compatible with net-zero fuels such as hydrogen.

We are supporting the Goal Zero Consortium in the design and construction of the vessel including the installation of the electric battery and propulsion system. As harbourcraft owners and operators ourselves, we are also involved in the analysis of the vessel's operating profiles for electrification and providing support to operationalize the vessel.

At sea, all new harbour craft must be fully electric or be able to use cleaner fuels -- such as hydrogen -- by 2030. It's part of the push for all harbour cr...
