Calcium Carbonate

This mineral present in most, if not all marble is responsible for wreaking havoc whenever acidic liquid gets in contact with the natural stone.

Hiccups in residential home we commonly come across be example pet vomits, wine/juices spill, inappropriate acidic tile “cleaner” employed. The reaction literally bites off a thin layer of the marble, blurring the surface, worst darkening.

Crucial to take note that for all etch marks restoration, no parties should guarantee 100% complete removal. As every acidic liquid (type, viscosity & duration left sitting on surface) and marble porosity is different. At times, etching may travel deep into the stone. No amount of repeated treatment is able to rid them completely.
