As you know, I enjoy sharing simple photos of suburban scenes. Many people often comment how the streets in Tokyo (and Japan) seem so clean. Actually, there are no street cleaners here in the form of large vehicles or anything. The streets are largely kept clean by the residents who live here, each person taking care of the area outside their own house. Of course, there is never any litter. But because people sweep up a fair bit, there are often not even any pebbles or leaves too! I do love how people here are brought up to respect the area in which they live 💙
