CX25 TRD Turbo 2 -88 425 000 kms, not started for many years. Started and run like this almost immediately!

The lower suspension arms are almost stuck, I must take all of it apart to assess the situation. I hope they can be used...

The lower suspension arms are almost stuck, I must take all of it apart to assess the situation. I hope they can be used. The steering relay bearings feel like they are out of grease but still roll, must be taken apart and regreased. Then there are the front wheel pivots and the wheel bearings. I might have to regrease them too. Will think about it.

The front parts were up next, removing the drive shafts from the front pivots and removing the pivots from the suspension arms followed by removing the tie rods from the pivots and the steering relays. The drive shaft tripods were a pain in the a** to retract!
1967 ID19 resto project
Drive shafts, joints, tie-rod ends and ball pins seem within tolerances, all seals and gaiters need to be renewed though.

Taking the rear trailing arms and brakes apart for the 1967 ID19 resto project. All bearings were saveable, brake wheel cylinders too. A lot of sanding and new paint needed. Then, after applying new grease, new seals, brake shoes, one brake drum backing plate, brake hoses and stop rubbers, they will be ready when the chassis returns!

Next to be assessed in the 1967 ID19 resto project were the front suspension and the anti-roll bars with linkage. Cylinders looks good, joints too. Some bushings and gaiters need to be changed.

The chassis is at Keystone Vintage Auto Restoration for the metal work.

In parallell to the AMI6 Break restoration, I have been dismantling and assessing chassis and suspension parts for the 1967 ID19 resto project. First was the rear suspension, cylinders in better condition must be sourced.

It was a good few days working on the AMI6 Break together with its owner, Tim. First start of the engine, bleeding the brakes, getting some front body parts on the car, installing the first door window frame and glass just to give a few examples!
