Our Value-Added

Our mission is to help leaders gain access to the knowledge, tools, and support they need to make smart investments, develop sound financing strategies, and build solid partnerships. As the economic, demographic, and policy context evolves, so do our products and services. What remains constant, however, is our added value:

• Neutral partner – We present the facts and highlight relevant considerations associated with a broad array of innovative ideas, strategies, and practices. We do not prescribe, and we do not advocate particular ideological or political positions.

• Cross-disciplinary, cross-program and cross-systems perspective – Efforts to improve the well-being of children, families, and communities are more likely to succeed when they bring health care, education, social services, and economic development closer together. That means going beyond the narrow boundaries of academic and professional disciplines, program domains, and agency structures. Seeing the opportunities and challenges from many points of view is at the core of IAP Project’s approach.

• Helping clients while building the field – To enhance the return on investment, IAP focuses on two important outcomes:

1) Helping our clients solve problems, build capacity, and achieve their goals; and

2) Creating and sharing knowledge and resources to strengthen the field.

We expect our work for individual clients to lead to new ideas, new tools, and new ways to help other leaders in other organizations nationwide who face similar challenges. We share our learning widely.

• Ready resource – IAP makes information, tools, and technical assistance resources – our own and those developed by other individuals and organizations – widely available to decision makers when they are needed. We make them easy to find and easy to use. And we make sure they are targeted to the needs and learning styles of our clients and audiences.

• Valuable links to other people, projects and resources – IAP Institute is closely connected with many individuals and organizations that fund, develop, and use knowledge, tools, and technical assistance. Our sponsors, clients, and strategic partners benefit from our broad network and our ability to bring people, projects, and resources together.

We are actively involved in a number of joint venture development opportunities with private individuals and companies as well as through relationships with local authorities, development agencies and other organisations dedicated to developing jobs, facilities, amenities and homes throughout the E.U. We welcome the opportunities that such partnerships create.

Active Inclusion is an EU strategy which aims to promote the social inclusion and social protection of those furthest from the labour market by tackling issues of minimum income, access to quality services and inclusive labour markets in an integrated way. The objective of the active inclusion strategy is to facilitate the integration into sustainable, quality employment of those who can work and provide resources which are sufficient to live in dignity, together with support for social participation, for those who cannot.
