I am an artist and designer-blacksmith, producing original and contemporary architectural, domestic and sculptural hand-forged ironwork for the home and for public commissions. I use traditional blacksmithing technique and new technology in contemporary and innovative ways, seeking beauty in function and making decorative statement through the creative use of structure and essential detail. k ranges from large-scale architectural projects to small-scale decorative and sculptural work, often individually designed to customer requirements. I give considerable attention to detailing so that new facets and aspects wait to be discovered by the viewer. My design philosophy requiring substantial build quality, fine craftsmanship and attention to detail, resulting in highly durable forms which reflect my belief in the economics of quality.
