An annual gala dinner was organized by Alliance Healthcare Private Limited (AHL) for all esteemed employees across the company's different projects on 25th November 2022 at Northwest Institute of Health Sciences.

An award distribution ceremony took place towards the beginning of the event to honor the doctors and supporting staff members who went above and beyond the call of duty during times of COVID-19 and the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.

Lifetime achievement shields were awarded to Dr. Khadim Ullah Kaka Khel, Consultant Dermatologist, and Prof. Dr. Mohibullah, Consultant ENT and Head & Neck Surgeon at NWGH for their valuable services. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtiar, Director of Clinical Affairs, and Administration was also honored with an award for his 8 years of commitment and service. Mr. Afsar Khan, COO of AHL, and Mr. Noor Ul Iman, Principal NWSM were also awarded shields for their dedication, expertise, and valuable insight. Dr. Zia Ur Rehman, CEO of NWGH, and Dr. Tariq Khan Hashim, Chairman AHL were both honored with achievement awards which were presented to them by the carpenter at NWGH.

The event also included several theatrical performances exquisitely performed by the nursing and other supporting staff members. The event also comprised a variety of videos depicting how different healthcare professionals perform procedures within the operation theatre.

The event came to a close with a musical and entertainment segment that was thoroughly enjoyed by the entire staff of AHL.

Northwest Institute of Health Sciences organized a one-day workshop titled on “Writing Thesis and Use of Endnote for References”.
The main aim of the workshop was to facilitate students and faculty for thesis writing and to introduce them to a practical session of Endnote for reference citation and arrangement.
Dr. Shafiq Wazir, PhD, Head IRB at NWIHS facilitated the workshop and explained practically how to organize references in the thesis and in future article submissions to different national and international journals. Students and faculty of Radiology, Medical Lab Technology (MLT) and Anesthesia departments attended the workshop.

Northwest General Hospital and Research Center (NWGH), as the region's leading healthcare provider, is committed to the well-being of society and has recently launched a health safety initiative with the City Traffic Police Peshawar.

The traffic police's service to Pakistan is enormous, being responsible for the maintenance of road safety round the clock. NWGH appreciates these unsung heroes and realizes that the traffic police is routinely exposed to high-risk situations.

As a token of its appreciation for traffic police services, NWGH has launched an initiative to train the traffic police in health safety. This includes training on how to keep themselves safe from COVID -19 and using proper nutrition for a healthy life while observing long duty hours in all kinds of weather conditions.

NWGH’s professional medical experts also trained the traffic police on providing first aid, thus equipping them with emergency life-saving skills in cases of accidents and incidents.

NWGH aims to have a healthy and safe Pakistan and is active works towards this goal through its social development and philanthropy projects.
