Dear Customers we have been maintaining prices for eight months and during this period we have experienced inflationary pressures of 11% in the cost of rearing goats and processing the mutton products. We have absorbed 5% of this increase through improvements in Farm’s productivity. Unfortunately, we are passing through a 6% increase in prices. Organically raised broiler chicken flock is ready for processing.

After 14 months we are having to raise the prices of poultry products. Our poultry operations have seen costs go up by 21%. Of this increase, 10.7 percent is accounted for by an unexplainable increase in the price of a one-day-old chicken from Rs 80 per chick to Rs 221 each.

The average price of a chicken sold by us would go up by Rs 260 each if we were to pass on this price. However, the Farm has been improving its productivity to the tune of Rs 130 per average chicken raised and sold. The poultry price increase is limited to an average of 7.8%.
