Viva! Pit Señor!
FEAST OF SANTO NIÑO | January 18
The Sto. Niño reminds us of Christ’s humility in becoming human and embracing the vulnerability of childhood. This feast challenges us to cultivate a childlike faith characterized by trust, innocence, and openness to God’s will. It serves as a reminder that greatness in God’s kingdom is rooted in humility and dependence on Him.
Parishes in the Archdiocese of Zamboanga join this national celebration through Sinulog processions, a devotion that symbolizes the deep roots of Christianity in the Philippines, which began over 500 years ago.
This feast also reminds us, Filipinos, of our shared spiritual heritage, inviting the nation to reflect on our journey of faith and to strengthen our identity as the only predominantly Christian country in Asia.
