π—Ÿπ—’π—’π—ž | Marking another milestone in campus development, the Le Falco Cafe Executive Lounge was formally inaugurated through a ribbon-cutting ceremony today, May 13, led by Campus Executive Officer Prof Dr. Rodel Francisco T. Alegado and graced by OIC University President Prof. Dr. Arthur G. IbaΓ±ez, ASEAN Engineer, alongside university officials and campus executive officers.

The newly opened VIP lounge aims to provide a more conducive and welcoming space for students, personnel, guests, and stakeholders within the university community.

The lounge previously conducted its soft opening and product valuation on February 17, 2026.

π—œπ—‘ 𝗣𝗛𝗒𝗧𝗒𝗦 | Cagayan State University - Sanchez Mira, led by Campus Executive Officer Prof.Dr. Rodel Fracisco T. Alegado, formally welcomed the arrival of Prof. Dr. Arthur G. IbaΓ±ez, ASEAN Engineer, Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the University President, alongside other university officials during the President’s Reception of Honors held as part of the Graduation Protocol 2026.

The reception gathered university administrators, faculty members, and distinguished guests in a celebration recognizing academic excellence, achievements, and the graduating class of 2026.

Manalo, SVD reminded the graduating students of Cagayan State University-Sanchez Mira to share themselves, their gifts, their time, and their services, to the people and communities they will be a part of during the Baccalaureate Mass held on May 12, at the campus ground.

| Based on the results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Cagayan State University-Sanchez Mira campus recorded a 100% passing rate for first-time takers in the Elementary Level with 1 out of 1 examinee passing, while the Secondary Level posted a 75.00% passing rate with 3 out of 4 first-time takers successfully earning the title of Licensed Professional Teachers.

Meanwhile, the campus registered an overall passing rate of 44.44% in the Elementary Level with 4 out of 9 passers, and 25.00% in the Secondary Level with 3 out of 12 passers.

The national passing rate stood at 51.04% for the Elementary Level and 73.10% for the Secondary Level.

π—‘π—˜π—ͺ𝗦 | CSU-SM honors outstanding students during Pammadayaw 2026

Cagayan State University - Sanchez Mira Campus (CSU-SM) recognized outstanding students during the Pammadayaw 2026 held on May 11, 2026, at the campus’ new gymnasium.

The annual event honored students for academic excellence, leadership, research, journalism, athletics, culture and arts, and service contributions to the university.

In his message, Campus Executive Officer Dr. Rodel Francisco T. Alegado emphasized that excellence is achieved through perseverance, sacrifice, and determination.

β€œThe Pammadayaw is a recognition of excellence, but excellence is never born overnight. It is shaped by sleepless nights, countless sacrifices, and unwavering determination,” Alegado said.

He also acknowledged the support system behind every student achievement, including parents, teachers, and the community.

Leading the awardees was Rodge Andru P. Viloria, a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology student from the College of Information and Computing Sciences (CICS), who graduated Cum Laude and received the Highest Scholastic Standing among graduating students.

Viloria is among the 17 Latin honor graduates who will be formally recognized during the university’s 48th Academic Convocation on May 13, 2026.

Fifteen other students were recognized as Outstanding Campus Awardees during the ceremony. Meljy V. Mamolin and Raphael R. Manglallan received the Outstanding Service Award. Franklin B. Ganiban and Princess P. Ganal were named as Outstanding Campus ROTC Cadets. Irish Graciella T. Valdez and Hyun Sun S. Vergara were honored as Outstanding Campus Student Athletes.

For culture and arts, Rommel B. Jacinto, Rizelle Olive B. Tapec, NiΓ±o G. Pingao, and Charlo C. Calitina received the Outstanding Campus Culture and Arts Award. In journalism, Rommel B. Jacinto, Victor Moises B. Arda, and Koreena Claudee Gel O. Vidad were recognized as Outstanding Campus Student Journalists. Alex A. Sarmiento Jr. was awarded Most Outstanding Campus Student Leader.

Meanwhile, Charlo C. Calitina was also recognized as Outstanding Student Researcher in Experimental Research, Leonard T. Domingo in Technological Research, and Erica Mae T. Pedro in Social Research.

During the ceremony, the campus also conferred Academic Distinction honors on 22 graduating students and With Merit Awards on 36.

Deans from the campus’ eight colleges presented certificates to students who qualified for the Dean’s List for the academic year. The Graduate School also recognized graduates for their academic achievements.

In his acknowledgment message, Atty. Jan Leandro Verzon encouraged the awardees to continue striving for excellence with humility, integrity, and determination.

The Pammadayaw 2026 concluded with a message encouraging students to view every achievement as both a milestone and a motivation for greater aspirations.
