Fast fashion looks like a bargain, until we factor in the true cost to our planet. The textile industry is a major contributor to climate change, but as consumers we have the power to change that narrative by being more conscious about where our clothes comes from, by supporting businesses who are transparent about their supply chains, buying second hand to reduce the demand for new clothes, and most of all - shopping our closet! The most sustainable outfit, is the one already in your wardrobe! 👚👖👗

This means that most of the clothes made today are either burned or landfilled. We need business models that keep clothes in use for longer, companies that repair, repurpose and recycle clothing. As consumers, we can help by supporting companies that have recycling, repurposing and repair programs, swapping clothes with friends, renting outfits, repurposing old clothes...the list goes on!
