Friendly warning to those who would like to DIY headlight restoration.
A co-club member (from Mazda3 Skyactiv Club PH) had done DIY headlight restoration. He bought something from an online store that he thought would restore the headlights back to its original form. But that was not the case. Instead of making it clear again, it became worse. It damaged the top of the headlight cover. He asked if we can fix it or just buy a new headlight cover. We just said to bring it to us and do what we can to fix it and bring the restorer he bought.
He brought his car to us and carefully assessed the headlight. Luckily, we were able to remove the damage caused by the headlight restorer he bought. We advised him to stay away from it and just have the headlights restored by experts.
We have included in this post the headlight restorer that he bought. We advise that you stay away from this to avoid unexpected expense. If you cannot DIY headlight restoration, then let us do it for you.
