there are days when a person looks within, and all they see is what is lacking. they notice how easily they grow tired, how quickly they feel overwhelmed, how often they misunderstand or are misunderstood, and how much they overthink and carry burdens that feel too heavy for their small shoulders. sometimes, they even feel ashamed of their weaknessesโtheir emotions, their limits, their mistakes, the parts of them that are not strong, not perfect, or not enough. they try so hard to fix everything, to appear โokayโ to prove that they can handle things on their own, especially within the circle of people they love and walk alongside. they want to keep the peace, preserve the bond, and make everything right; and when they feel they cannot do it, they believe they have failed.
but this verse changes everything. it reminds them that He does not look at human weakness as a flaw or a failure; He sees it as the very space where His power can shine the brightest.
His grace is sufficient. this promise does not say His grace will remove the weakness or the struggle. it says His grace is enough. enough to sustain them, enough to carry them, enough to cover what they cannot cover, enough to keep them and the relationships they hold dear, even when they feel they are falling short. when a person honestly admits, โi cannot do this alone. i am weak. i am tired. i do not know how to fix this,โ that is exactly when His strength steps in. His power is made perfectโcomplete, fully seen, and fully at workโright in the middle of what they think is their brokenness or limitation.
many people used to hide their weaknesses, afraid that if others saw how much they carry or how easily they are hurt, they would be thought of as less. but now they understand: when they are honest about their limits, when they admit that they need Him and need others, they are actually making room for God to move through them. to โboast in weaknessesโ does not mean celebrating flaws; it means glorying in the truth that ๐ต๐๐บ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ถ๐ป๐๐๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฝ๐น๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐ ๐๐๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฝ๐ผ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐บ.
this truth changes how they view their struggles, their emotions, and even the misunderstandings that weigh on their hearts. they realize they do not have to be perfect. they do not have to have all the answers or fix everything. they only need to be honest, surrender what they cannot do, and trust that His grace is more than enough for them, for their relationships, and for every situation they face.
today, they choose to stop trying to be strong in their own strength. they embrace their humanity, their limits, and their need for Him, knowing that
