LOOK: Moderate to occasionally heavy rainshowers accompanied by lightning and strong winds are expected to affect several areas in the Davao Region and nearby provinces within the next one to two hours, according to PAGASA’s Thunderstorm Advisory No. 2 issued at 3:00 p.m. on May 19, 2026.

Among the areas expected to experience heavy rains are parts of Davao del Sur, Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Davao City. Some areas in Bukidnon and Lanao del Sur may also be affected.

Meanwhile, thunderstorms are already being experienced in several areas and may continue over the next two hours, possibly affecting nearby communities.

Authorities advised the public to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods, landslides, lightning, and strong winds, especially in low-lying and landslide-prone areas. Residents are also encouraged to continue monitoring official weather advisories for updates.

Several areas currently remain isolated due to flooding. Davao Light crews and engineers are actively working to assess these flood-affected areas. Our priority is the safety of our personnel and the affected communities, and we will restore power as soon as it is safe to do so.
