“We’re excited to share our journey as national finalists in the Ten Accomplished Youth Organizations (TAYO) 21. Our story is one of hope, resilience, and the transformative power of second chances.

Remember the story of the boy and the starfish? As he threw starfish back into the ocean, someone told him he couldn’t save them all. The boy smiled, picked up another starfish, and said, ‘It made a difference to that one.’

Our mission is just like that. By giving second chances, we’re changing lives, one at a time. Every like, share, and view helps us make a difference to that one. Let’s come together to spread hope and inspire change.

Get to know more about Second Chance Philippines. The Founder and Executive Director, Captain Edo Bardaje Lobenia will talk about the project and its inspirational stories and impact during this Covid-19 Pandemic.

By 2030, Second Chance Philippines envisions an inclusive society wherein former Persons Deprived of Liberty(PDL) are given equal economic opportunities as they reintegrate into society's mainstream and become law-abiding citizens.

This is in line with the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. Decent Work and Economic Growth. Sustainable and inclusive development are key factors in achieving progress that eventually create jobs in a country. Reduce Inequalities. Ending all forms of inequality is a very difficult problem to resolve if the rate of poverty in a country is high. Unfortunately, such is the case when it comes to the social inequality in the Philippines.

Second Chance Philippines serves us as a bridge in addressing the gap of social inequality for former PDLs that aims to generate acceptance and raise awareness of the need to give second chances to former offenders and their families. And the projects aims to inspire community to take action to support rehabilitations and reintegration of inmates back into the society.
