Still dealing with the never ending algae invasion in your swimming pool? Well, our algae eliminators can surely handle that but there are also several ways on having an algae-free swimming pool! Introducing the Pohotometers that we have in store from Hanna Instruments!
Imbalanced amounts of pool chemicals may make your water cloudy. This includes high alkalinity, high or low chlorine levels or any other sanitizers you use in your pool, high pH and high calcium hardness levels. Without the right chemical balances, unwanted particles and contaminates multiply in the water.
The water's pH is a measure of its total acid-alkalinity balance and this device from Hanna Instruments helps you on getting the accurate pH level of your pool water. The optimum pH for pool water is 7.4, since this is the same as the pH in human eyes and mucous membranes. A pH of 7.4 also gives good chlorine disinfection.
If the pH is too low it gives
- aggressive water, which damages the mechanical components of the pool
- irritations of the eyes and mucous membranes
- damage to the pool liner
-causes algae to grow
and if pH is too high, it gives
- poorer chlorine disinfection
- skin irritation
- lime precipitation
- cloudiness
- also causes algae to grow
pH and chlorine values for good water quality and in order to get and maintain a good balanced mixture of those two we need devices for testing the pool water. Test strips and test kits are for those but for more accurate results, this is what the Hanna Instruments Photometer are for! Convenient and easy to use!
