Founded last October 2021, DELMAR PEST MANAGEMENT SERVICES - then after 2 years, it was changed to DelMar Pest Control and Home Repair Services - is a pest control company whose goal is to pr
ovide the best possible professional quality pest management services to all its clients at very reasonable prices. Its general manager, Mr. Mark Eugene E. Dela Rosa, has more than 10 years of experience working for two very competent pest control companies in Laguna. With the experience of providing service to hundreds of residential and corporate clients, he decided to form DelMar Pest Management Services to reach more clients within the CALABARZON and Metro Manila area. SERVICES OFFERED
• TERMITE CONTROL AND PREVENTION
Subterranean termite infestations are controlled through the use of conventional barrier treatment. The application of liquid termiticide in soil creates a continuous chemical barrier around and beneath the treated structure. The treatment can be done at the time of building construction (Pre‐Construction) or when there is already an existing structure (Post‐Construction). When properly applied, the chemical barrier effectively stops the invading subterranean termites from gaining access to the protected structure, thereby preventing infestation. To prevent future infestations, regular maintenance spot spraying of termiticide inside the structure and destruction of subterranean termite mounds are conducted as part of post‐construction treatments. Regular maintenance treatments and inspections are conducted as part of the integrated pest management program.
• DRYWOOD TERMITE AND POWDERPOST BEETLE CONTROL
For the control of powderpost beetles and Drywood termites, spraying and/or brushing of a chemical solution or wood protectant on the surface of the wood is done. Injecting chemical solutions is also done for wood furniture infected by these pests. Close monitoring and thorough inspection of the area is needed for these pests.
• GENERAL PEST CONTROL
Household pests, are usually found in homes but are also present in offices and commercial establishments like restaurants, hotels, etc. These pests are capable of contaminating food, transmitting diseases, and causing annoyance to people.
For the control of cockroaches and other crawling insects like ants and fleas, residual spraying using a compressed air sprayer is done. Treatments are conducted depending on the degree of infestation and pest requirement of the client. Gel baiting is also an effective way of killing cockroaches hidden in kitchen and office areas. This pesticide formulation attracts the target and kills it when the pesticide is ingested.
Chemical control of flying insects such as houseflies and mosquitoes is achieved by misting. This method is effective because the chemical is suspended in the air for a certain period, killing flying insects in the process. Another control method is by installing electric light traps, which use UV light to attract the flying insects and kill them by electrocution.
• RODENT CONTROL
Rodents (rats and mice) are very difficult to control without understanding their biology and behavior. The implementation of good sanitation practices, careful monitoring, structural repairs, and installation of mechanical barriers are very important to an effective rodent control program.
When using poison, inspections are conducted 2 to 3 times a week to replenish baits, inspect stations, and dispose of dead rodents.
In food establishments and other commercial buildings where baits are not advised, rodents are controlled by using cage traps and sticky traps. These traps are placed inside the infested structure and its perimeter.
• HOME REPAIR
One of the main reasons why these pests are called pests is because they destroy properties. We have seen so many pieces of furniture, parts of the house, and even the whole house itself that got destroyed by these pests.
