Chacha’s story serves as a critical learning experience for our community regarding the importance of proper TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return). Although she initially appeared to have been spayed by a private clinic—marked by a flank stitch but notably missing an ear notch or tattoo—she recently went into heat, leading to a rapid decline in her health and the risk of an unwanted pregnancy. Upon rushing her to our partner clinic, veterinarians discovered she was suffering from pyometra caused by a previous, improper spaying method. The “horns” of her reproductive system had been incorrectly handled, causing her left o***y to swell and become infected.

To save her life, Chacha underwent an emergency procedure to remove her left o***y and the infected tissue; however, she remains under a three-month observation period to determine if a second exploratory surgery is required to fully correct the previous procedure. We are now knocking on your hearts to help us cover the costs of this unexpected emergency care. Any financial contribution, no matter the size, will directly support Chacha’s recovery and ensure she receives the proper medical correction she deserves. Thank you for helping us protect our community cats and for advocating for high-quality, responsible sterilization.

🚨 URGENT FOSTER NEEDED: Help Mallows Heal 🧡

Mallows is a beloved community cat who is cherished by many in his area. He recently underwent a veterinary check-up, including an impression smear and an FSAA test, to investigate an open wound and internal inflammation. While we wait for the final laboratory results to clarify his next steps, he has already begun a medical regimen to kickstart his recovery.

We are searching for an immediate foster volunteer to support Mallows during this healing journey. He requires a dedicated caregiver who can administer his oral antibiotics, apply Fluocononide cream and Microsyn spray to his wound, and ensure he keeps his e-collar on to prevent further injury. If you can provide a safe space and help this special cat recover, please reach out to us.

Update on injured cat rescued from Acacia Gate (posted on Cat Lovers Ph)

“Good morning po, here are the morning updates for the kitty cat (emergency cat received last night).

She had no appetite when confinement wet food was offered this morning but was syringe-fed after. She has already passed urine with brown color appearance. No stool was reported yet this morning. She is on E-collar to prevent licking of the wounds. She remains quiet inside his cage but alert and responsive when approached.

Sending her x-rays from last night rin po. Hip fracture po was observed and multiple bite-like wounds were observed on her hindlimbs and butt area. Maggots were observed on her wounds po, which were already flushed out na rin po.

For now po we’re observing if Nicola will be able to pass stools po since hip fracture/injury may cause urination and defecation issues po. Currently pain meds and antibiotics are on board na po for her treatment.”

We are opening our donation channels to cover the treatments for Nicola.

🐾 Why TNVR Matters for Community Cats? 🐾

Trap–Neuter–Vaccinate–Return (TNVR) is one of the most effective, humane ways to help outdoor cat populations—and support healthier communities.

✨ Benefits of TNVR:

💙 Reduces overpopulation: Spaying/neutering prevents endless litters and helps stabilize colony size over time.

🛡️ Improves cat health: Vaccinations protect against disease, and neutering reduces stress, fighting, and roaming.

🌎 Supports neighborhoods: Fewer kittens, fewer nuisance behaviors, and healthier, calmer cat colonies.

🐱 Saves lives: TNVR keeps cats in the environment they know, while preventing shelter overcrowding and unnecessary euthanasia.

When compassionate people and proven methods come together, everyone wins—including the cats. 💛

❓ Why do we think Trap/Neuter/Vaccinate/Return (TNVR) is necessary?

🛑 IT STOPS THE SUFFERING.
Without TNVR, community cats face illness, injury, starvation, and overpopulation. TNVR ensures they’re healthy, vaccinated, and living safer lives—without adding to the cat population.

💖 It works. TNVR stabilizes colonies, reduces nuisance behaviors, and improves the lives of both cats and the community.
