Thank you for your support. I’ve been very busy responding to messages and have noticed I’m being asked the same questions frequently. To make things easier, I’ve put together the answers to my most commonly asked questions below.

How much do you charge?
My pricing depends on the type of work required.
Regular residential cleans: $35 per hour
Minimum charge: 2 hours
Invoiced immediately after the clean
Payment due within 7 days
Other services such as one-off cleans, Airbnb cleans, and move-out cleans are priced differently. Please contact me directly to discuss your specific needs.
What products do I need to supply?
I supply all of my own cleaning equipment and products unless you have preferred products you would like me to use. I purchase products in bulk to keep costs down and bring my own vacuum and steam mop.
If you prefer that a steam mop is not used on your floors, I kindly ask that you provide the mop and cleaning products you would like used.
Why do you use a steam mop?
I use a steam mop for hygiene reasons. Each mop head is washed after every clean, and I believe this is far more hygienic than using the same mop across multiple homes.
If I supply the products, will you charge a lower rate?
No. In my experience, I often still need to use my own products to ensure I have sufficient quantities and achieve the best results.
What does a regular residential clean include?
A basic regular clean includes:
Full bathroom clean
Kitchen surface wipe-down
Dusting of surfaces, window sills, and skirting boards throughout the home
Full vacuum and mop
Additional tasks can be added or removed depending on the time booked.
How long does a basic residential clean take?
A basic clean for a standard 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom, approximately 100m² home usually takes around 2 hours.
The total time may vary depending on the size of your home, any additional tasks requested, and the general condition of the property.
Are you GST registered?
No. I operate as a sole trader and currently earn under the IRD threshold required to charge GST.
All invoices are issued through the Xero accounting system, and payments are easily matched to each invoice.
Do you have photos of your work?
I have limited photos of my work because I do not take photos inside clients’ homes. I believe this would be a breach of privacy, and it’s not something I would be comfortable with as a client myself.
However, I do have excellent reviews and references, which can be found under the Reviews tab and in posts on this page.
Do you take on workers or are you hiring?
No. I work for myself, by myself.
When you message Molly’s Clean, you get me – Molly. When the cleaner arrives at your home, you get me – Molly. I handle the administration, marketing, and all cleaning personally.
