I think we can all agree, I'm very slack on the social media stuff.🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
Its been 13 months since my last post.
If you haven't already seen it, please have a watch and a laugh at myself in the video.
A massive THANK YOU to Love Wainuiomata for the video.
Its been a very humbling experience, lots of messages today.
Your all safe! Its fair to say I will stay seated at the sewing machine rather than in front of a camera.
Lastly, thanks to everyone that's come through these doors over the last 7 years. Whether it was for a job or a yarn I appreciate you all.
Lets see where the next year/s takes us.👍

End of an era......

Young Charlotte here has taken away the last ever speedway seat to be done by myself here at Stitch It Auto Upholstery. I wish her all the best for the upcoming season.
Thank you to everybody that has allowed me to do a seat for them. Hopefully everybody has felt safe/comfortable and unhurt in a seat done by me.
I do have one regret, that is not actually knowing the exact amount of speedway seats I have done over the years. My guess would be somewhere between 120 and 150 I would think.

Some interesting things you might want to know,
*My first seat I ever did was for my Dad.
*The last seat/pads (alteration's, to many pies) ill ever do is my own. I think I have earnt that after all these years.
*I have been doing seats longer than Charlotte has been alive!!!!
*The top 3 seats I loved the most were
1, Charlottes (love the colours, and for obvious reasons being the last)
2, My niece Sophie's seat, (who doesn't love purple sparkle vinyl and diamonds)
3, Tint a Car seat, (something simple but you looked at the seat from one way and you saw purple stitching, you looked at the seat from the opposite angle and you saw blue stitching. I thought that was very affective and different.
4, The most seats I think I have ever done in an offseason was 14.

A little bit late to the party team, just extremely busy here.
Extremely fortunate enough to see another car we recently did show up in another magazine.
Having customers that say "all we want is black with green stitching and we'll leave it up to you" is somewhat nerve racking but on the other hand people having faith in what we can produce is really cool. What's even better is the reaction I get when they pick up there finished pieces and having them stoked with the job and what I came up with in terms of design was well worth it.
With this car we did a new headlining, set of carpets and recovering of the bucket seats. Headlining and carpets were tough to do simply because I'm not a small guy and maneuvering around the bar work was tricky ☺️🤷‍♂️ but again worth it seeing the final product in a magazine.

Long time between posts. Sorry about that.
Here's a car we did 3 years ago. Maybe more.......🤯😂 I think it was my first or second retrim I did here since opening up the shop.

Full retrim in black leather other than headlining. But pretty cool to see the continuation from start to finish.

If anyone knows how to turn these pics to a short video that would be awesome, please get in touch.

There's no better moment for myself as a trimmer than seeing a vehicle that you have spent 300+ hours on becoming a feature car on a nationwide publication. (I can do this post now its been publicized😂)

With this job we did a new headlining, sun visors, parcel shelf, door panels, new inserts on front seats, complete custom back seat with more of a bucket look to match the front seats. But still useable for people in the back plus a full set of carpets including lining out the boot. (not easy when ya a big fuller trying to work around the roll cage, fuel lines, battery box, coil overs)

A massive THANK YOU to de Kort for having faith and giving me the opportunity to work on his car. 👏
P.S you still owe me a months subscription to a chiropractor too 🤦‍♂️

Must be that time off year again. Remember if you need any speedway related stuff done this offseason, June 30th is the cut off date. Anything that turns up after this date wont be done for opening night!!
So far for this off season were up to,
11 stockcar seats,
3 ministock seats,
2 custom headrests,
1 full pad out.

Good luck to everyone out there for the upcoming speedway season.
Completed 10 seats, 3 custom headrests, 2 seat alterations in 3/4 weeks (each day and week rolls into one 😁), still have 2 full sets of pads to do and another car for 1 pad and 3 more seats.
But next weeks another week.
Im pretty excited to see my name on a few more seats out there and on a few cars to.👌 Appreciate everyone trying to help me get STITCH IT out there.

Two seats have already headed out the door to their owners and theres two more to come.......😁😴🤦‍♂️
