Another day, another Hilux in for a Lakeview interior refresh... and this one definitely needed it!

This hardworking Hilux had seen plenty of action, with dirt, dust and debris finding their way into just about every corner of the cabin. After a thorough interior refresh, it was looking and feeling like a completely different vehicle.

But the best part of the job wasn't the transformation.

While vacuuming under the driver's seat, my well-trained ears picked up a very distinctive rattle heading up the vacuum hose. A quick hit of the remote shut-off on the handpiece and investigation revealed something a little special — a sentimental heirloom necklace that the owner later confessed had been missing for several years!

Needless to say, she was absolutely stoked. Not only did she get her Hilux back looking fresh and tidy, but she was also reunited with a piece of jewellery she thought was gone forever.

It's not every day a valet turns into a treasure hunt, but it's moments like these that make the job worthwhile.

One refreshed Hilux. One very happy owner. One priceless recovery. 🚙✨💍

Another week done and dusted here at Lakeview Mobile Valet… and when the bookings are back-to-back all week, this is what Friday afternoon looks like 😅

Believe it or not, every single cloth in these stacks has its own purpose and place in the Lakeview system.

Everything is colour coded to avoid cross contamination between paintwork, interiors, glass, wheels and the dirtier jobs. It might look a bit over the top… but it’s all part of making sure every vehicle gets the best possible finish without shortcuts.

Safe to say the washing machine definitely earns its keep around here too 🤣

This week has been a bit of everything here at Lakeview Mobile Valet 🚗💦
From heading out into the countryside to give some hard-working farm vehicles a much-needed refresh — and honestly, how good is that view while on the job? Fresh country air, rural scenery and bringing tired vehicles back to life… not a bad office for the day.

Then it was onto business fleet vehicles getting freshened up before being handed over to new drivers. Love seeing companies take pride in their vehicles and make sure the next driver starts off with a clean, tidy ride.

And of course, another well-used rural wagon rolled in definitely needing a bit of Lakeview love after doing the hard yards.

No two days are ever the same, and that’s exactly why I love what I do 👍

Another day and yet another Hilux through for a Lakeview refresh 😎

This tidy one-owner ute might be 10 years old now, but it’s been very well looked after its whole life and it definitely shows. It just needed a good general freshen up to bring everything back to life again inside and out.

And by the time I was finishing up late this afternoon, the temperature had absolutely dropped away 🥶
You can already see the condensation forming through the cabin while I was wrapping the job up!

After a proper clean up though, she was back looking sharp and ready for many more years of faithful service 👌

These Hiluxs just keep proving why they’ve got the reputation they do — tough, reliable and they scrub up pretty nicely too.

A few of this week’s regulars back in for their scheduled Lakeview treatments 🚘✨

First up was the “his & hers” Ford lineup looking sharp as always. These two are on a regular maintenance valet plan and it really shows — keeping on top of things regularly means they always come up an absolute treat with minimal fuss. Safe to say the matching blue duo scrubbed up pretty nicely against that stunning evening sky 🌅

Then it was time for the trusty kiddy hauler Mitzi, in for her quarterly Lakeview treatment. Between kids, daily duties and general family life, she definitely gets a workout — but after a full tidy up inside and out she’s back looking fresh, clean and ready for the next round of school runs, sports gear and snack explosions 😅

Another day and another Hilux in for an interior refresh here at Lakeview Mobile Valet 👌

I’ve had around 100 Hiluxs through for a Lakeview treatment over the last 12 months, and I can honestly say this one would be right up there as one of the tidiest and most original looking Luxs I’ve seen — especially considering it’s about to click over 250,000km.

Sure, the interior was ready for a good refresh after plenty of years of honest use, but underneath it all the condition was still incredibly sound with no obvious wear or damage jumping out at you. That’s pretty rare in a working ute with those sort of kms on it.

Absolute credit to the owner for how well this truck has been looked after 👏

A couple of very different vehicles for the same client today 👌

First up was a trusty Hilux that just needed a good honest freshen up, so it received the “Farmers & Tradies” package. Hardworking vehicles like these wear their scars with pride, but there’s something satisfying about bringing them back up sharp again.

Then it was on to this beautiful Mercedes wagon. Now this fine automobile may be 16 years old and carrying a quarter of a million clicks, but she still scrubs up exceptionally well with a full Lakeview refresh ✨

And those wheels… check out the before and afters 😳

Years of brake dust, grime and road fallout gone, revealing the classy Benz alloys underneath once again.

Safe to say the owner was pretty happy with how both vehicles turned out too — he even sent through a message while I was heading home saying:

“Awesome service, quality workmanship, I will definitely pay for your services again!”

That sort of feedback never gets old 🙌

This absolute weapon of an Audi RS5 was in today for the full Lakeview treatment.

This one’s no garage queen either — it’s a proper hardworking highway cruiser.

Check out the brake dust buildup on those wheels and the tar spotting down the sides from big kilometres on the road.

After a full decontamination wash, wheel treatment, tar removal and detail, it came up looking absolutely smick again.

White paint popping, gloss back in the wheels, and ready to chew up more highway miles in style.

One of this week’s more entertaining jobs was this 20-seater doggo transporter in for its regular “de-hairy” session. 🐾🚌

This bus belongs to “The Farm” doggy daycare centre, so its days are spent transporting excited four-legged passengers to and from their adventures.

After carrying around 20 canine passengers at a time, it’s safe to say the interior was wearing enough fur to qualify as a second upholstery layer. Looking at the amount of hair through the aisle and woven into the carpet, I’m convinced at least a few of these passengers identify as sheep.

This one took a serious amount of vacuuming, brushing and extraction work to get back under control, but the before-and-after photos tell the story better than words ever could.

Best part? Watching the happy four-legged crew pile back onboard afterwards like nothing had happened. Safe to say this bus won’t stay hair-free for long! 🐶🤣

Bit of a special one this week 🙌

I donated a full Lakeview valet to a local community fundraiser — the Southern Lakes volunteer fire brigade pot luck dinner and charity auction. Always a good cause and an easy yes from me.

A huge shout out and thanks to our local volunteer fireys for everything they do for the community 👨‍🚒👏

The lucky bidder made the most of it… parked up at the community hall, handed over the keys, and headed inside for a few hours of mahjong while I got to work.

A few hours later she walked back out to what felt like a brand new car ✨
Love being able to support the local community and even better when the result puts a proper smile on someone’s face.
