Good morning everyone! Hope you are all hanging in there.

At the moment I believe (but it isn’t 100% confirmed by the powers that be yet) that I will be able to come back to work in level 3 step three, or in red light as I am double vaccinated. This isn’t confirmed however but I’m confident.

Unfortunately the potential level moves come right before I shut down for the year for the Christmas and New Years period for 3 weeks, so I also want you to be aware of this too. The tentative dates I will be taking off are 22nd December to 10 Jan. (TBC).

When I return it will be on the condition that nobody is in the house, or if you must be home (working from home for example), that you be confined to one room/office whilst I’m there that I don’t enter.

I thank you all for your patience, it’s been a long 3 months! Looking forward to getting back in to it and seeing all your friendly faces again one day soon!

I just thought I would pop a note up to say I am missing all my wonderful clients, and hope I get to come back to you guys soon!

At this stage I have no idea when I will be allowed to operate again with the new transitional level 3, or whether we will still have to wait until level 2 as per previous lockdowns. But as soon as we have a date I will be in touch via text message to confirm what date I am back with you.

Hope everyone is surviving alright - I know I am just incredibly bored… but otherwise ok 🤪

So as a couple of my current clients will be aware, I have been spending a bit of time at the hospital with my best friend and her baby since Oliver was born a few weeks ago… so I thought I would share their give a little page here, as they are struggling financially with her husband having to take over fulltime care of the other 4 children whilst Thain and Olly are in the hospital - which could be ongoing for quite some time as they look for answers and try to keep him stable. If you would like to help at all I would be incredibly touched, every little bit helps

I have a weekly spot opening up for either home support (2ish hours, negotiable) or cleaning on Thursdays.

What is home support? I can come in and get all those extra jobs done that you keep looking at but don’t get around to. I can meal prep/bake, help with your laundry (washing, hanging, folding, ironing), help with your kids and pets if you are home (can take pup for a walk etc), and I can do those random little cleaning jobs you never get around to that aren’t part of a general clean (like reorganisation/tidy and wipe out of cupboards, cleaning the fridge and microwave insides, a quick vacuum and mop etc - Just not a full house clean in one go). This I charge at $25/hr, and just get done what I can in that time.

Cleaning I tailor to you, and quote on a per job basis rather than hourly. If you would like a quote I will arrange a time to come visit and quote.

Space available! I currently have, or soon to have some spaces available.

Do you have newborn twins and another preschooler? I am registered through winz to provide home help for your 240 funded hours. I have helped many twin families and this is 100% my greatest passion. I can help with the older kids, the babies, the housework, cooking, laundry, anything. I have 3 kids of my own (plus a stepson) who are all at college now so I’m an experience mum, nanny and cleaner. If you are looking for somebody please contact me ASAP especially if you want more than a couple of hours a week help as I currently have wriggle room in my diary to fit extra visits in.

I also provide privately paid for home support at $25/hr. Can help with everything above - basically I can be like having another you at home, doing those jobs you just never get around to.

Otherwise I also provide a cleaning service (price given per clean, after meeting you at your house and tailoring the clean to your needs). I bring everything I need and I clean with Norwex products which reduces the harmful chemicals in your home.

I cover the greater hibiscus coast area

Hope all my current clients received their text or email regarding where to from here. If not - just know that I’m still working this week but taking it day by day and requesting you not be home (or isolated in one room or outside) whilst I am there. And please let me know if anyone is the house is unwell or in isolation as one of my children is higher risk as are a couple of my clients.

I suspect this will be the last week for a while but again, taking it day by day and you are welcome to pause your contract at any time.

It’s been a while since I have had to advertise a space however I do have a couple of gaps! Have a fortnightly and a weekly gap.

Get in touch quickly because my spaces don’t last long.

As an aside... I hope all are keeping safe with Covid-19 and please let me know ASAP should you be in isolation or showing any cold symptoms as I have a couple of very vulnerable clients and I cannot risk spreading! But with communication between all parties we can work out a plan to keep everyone happy but ultimately everyone safe

It's October, and that means Hand @ Home has been operating for 2 years! Thank you all for your support.

Like last year (or every year! lol), this time of year also marks my birthday, and I head away on holiday from Friday 11th and I get home Friday 18th, with work resuming on Monday 21 October. Hope you all can survive without me ;) lol.

Thank you to everyone for your understanding and patience this week. We have had a very sudden death in the family. Services will resume as normal either Monday or Tuesday next week but I will be in touch with all affected to confirm.

What else is changing?

This one is the main change.

Norwex entered my life.

What is Norwex you ask? It is a cleaning system that uses NO chemicals and can clean 90% of your house with just water yet removes more bacteria than using chemicals. How? Norwex works mechanically to actually remove bacteria. Chemicals don’t remove bacteria only can kill them - however a chemical needs to sit on a surface for a good 10-15mins to be effective before wiping away. Norwex cloths contain silver in their backloc system which kills bacteria in the cloth within 24hours - without the need to wash the cloth (however I of course wash my work cloths after each use as an added measure). Norwex also has cleaners that are enzyme based and frankly they work better than nearly any chemical based cleaner I have previously tried.

Because of this, I am in the process of moving my entire business into cleaning solely with Norwex. I have a good collection started however it will be a process over the next couple of months to fully kit out my business. This system is ultimately safer for me, safer for you and your families... AND better for the environment.

My original cleaning clients - those who provide their own chemicals, you will be the last moved fully over to the Norwex system.

Home support clients - I will continue to use any cleaning products provided when I do any cleaning unless you request Norwex.

So what is changing?

Firstly... I’m dropping down to being a sole trader instead of a registered Ltd company.

When I started Hand@Home I had big dreams. Which included having contractors working for me. However despite offering a fairer pay packet than most cleaning companies, I still couldn’t find anyone reliable or that could clean to a high standard. I was wanting to then turn my focus on to the home support side more.

Turns out, the home support side has grown naturally, and I have found myself in a good balance.

My children are getting older but still need me - and I don’t need the added stress or costs of running a business when I can be a sole trader offering exactly what I offer now.

What does this mean for you? Absolutely nothing different. Still the same awesome service provided by the same awesome person (😉) at the same cost.
