'Tis the time to be Merry! And 'tis the time to again say a heartfelt thank you to all my wonderful clients for supporting me and my business this year. It has been a pleasure working with you all 🤩

The office officially closed for 2024 on Friday 20th December (though I will be working on Monday 23rd December, this day is fully booked). I will be returning back to the office on Wednesday 8th January, ready to schedule you in to prepare your log burners for the winter ahead.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas🎄and a wonderful New Year celebrating with loved ones 🥳 and I look forward to seeing you all again in 2025! 🎉

I have been offering these Christmas Chimney Cleaning vouchers for several years already...but every year they prove to be super popular!

These vouchers offer the recipient a complimentary log burner inspection and flue/chimney clean within the Canterbury NZ area, and could be that perfect gift for the hard to buy for loved one. 🤗🤗🤗

So easy to order too. Email me on [email protected] including the name of the person receiving the voucher and their address. We will email you an invoice and then the voucher can either be mailed, emailed, couriered or delivered directly.

Merry Christmas To Everyone!

Wishing you all a fabulous holiday period with your loved ones, and hoping the New Year is a great one! Thanking you all for being such wonderful clients this year too 🤩🤩🤩

Please note that Michelle (me) is out of the office from today, Tuesday 19th December, until Monday 8th January.

I will be checking emails and messages where possible but will have times when I am completely out of phone/internet service - so will do my best to answer in between when I can. Otherwise all messages will be responded to on my return.

Wishing all of our wonderful clients and friends a wonderful Christmas break 🤩 We thank you for your support and loyalty this year and wish you all the very best for 2023.

I will be on leave from today (Wednesday 21st December), returning to the office on Thursday 5th January. During the majority of this time I will be out of phone and internet access so may not be able to return calls or messages. I will touch base again in the New Year though to get you all booked in.

Working under Red Traffic Light Conditions

As of midnight last night, New Zealand is now under strict restrictions to attempt to control the spread of the Omicron variant of the Corona virus. What does that mean for getting your chimney swept?

Nothing really. It's business as normal for us with the following ongoing precautions:

* myself and anyone who may travel with me and assist is at least double vaccinated and acquiring any relevant boosters as available.
* we are continuing to wear masks when at a clients property but do not require residents to wear a mask in their own home.
* all our equipment is frequently disinfected between clients and as required. This should ensure minimal opportunity for transmission.
* we ask that if you are feeling unwell or have been identified as a close contact, please advise us as soon as possible and we will reschedule your appointment.

If you have any queries or concerns, as always please don't hesitate to contact me. I know that this is a very difficult and strange time but thank you to all my wonderful clients for your ongoing support and I look forward to continuing to seeing you all again soon!

Santa's Little Helper (Me!) has been very busy ensuring that all the chimneys and flues are ready for his upcoming visit shortly! Goodness it's still been sensationally busy but I would like to take this moment to say Thank You to all our wonderful clients and friends this year that have supported me. Its been another challenging year for many, but let's look forward to a safe and healthy 2022 🥳🎄

I'll be taking some leave from Wednesday 29th December returning back to the office Thursday 6th January 2022, but looking forward to getting back into chimney life from then.

COVID19 - National Level 4 Lockdown effective 18/08/2021

This evening the Prime Minister announced that all of New Zealand will enter a national Level 4 Lockdown from 11.59pm tonight. At Abel & Prestige we always prioritise the health and safety of our clients and staff. Consequently if you have had an appointment confirmed with us for the next 3 days, we will be in contact shortly to reschedule (if we haven't contacted you already) for when the lockdown is lifted.

Please Note though - If you have an emergency situation with your log burner please do not hesitate to call or text us for assistance.
