We’re asking our Point Chevalier community for help after one of our dryers was damaged at JoyWash Laundromat.

The incident happened on Monday, 12 October, at about 7:48 pm. Damage like this brings repair and replacement costs, which are one of the pressures behind increases to our prices. We know price changes affect our customers, so we want to be open about the costs involved in keeping our machines working.

Peak busy at the laundromat, but there's a better way to time it. Drop it off and leave it to us. Drop from 6am, collect upto 9 pm.
If you prefer self serve, weekday mornings right after opening and mid-afternoons are usually the quietest in Pt Chevalier - more machines free, faster changeover, and you're in and out on your own schedule. Skip the 5-7pm rush and grab a quiet slot at JoyWash, where card and contactless payment make it easy. Laundry that works around your day.

Did you know you can drop your laundry off at JoyWash and collect it later using a PIN?

📣 During staffed hours, tell us you'd like to use locker pickup. We wash, dry and fold your laundry, then place it securely in a locker.

Once it's ready, you'll get a text with your unique PIN. Come back any time before 9pm, enter the code, collect your laundry, and you're done.

You don't need to wait around for the dryer, and you don't need to rush back before we close. Drop it off in the morning and pick it up on the way home.

It suits people working long shifts, parents doing the school run, or anyone who wants that time back. The locker is indoors, monitored, and secured with a single-use PIN.

Locker pickup is free.
