Another family feud solved by Cleaner Carpets …

Grandson rents house from grandmother with his “also-in-20s-party-friends”.
After a year or two, he moves out to join so many other young Kiwis overseas.
His grandmother sees the carpet, shrieks in horror, and calls her son — the weary father of her good-time grandson:
“All the carpets need replacing!”
“I’ll call my mate Marty …”

On a non-carpet-related matter … does anyone in Papamoa want to learn about pruning fruit trees?
I have local pruning guru Mike coming around tomorrow morning at nine to prune some of my 20 or so fruit trees in Papamoa — Golden Sands.
Almonds, plums, apricots (that don’t fruit!) lemons limes, mandarin, nectarine, quince, cheramoia, magnolia, hibiscus, guava, loquat, vanlla icecream tree, feijoa, pomegranate, plus berries and ten chickens, two guneapigs a dog, wife and three kids — all on a regular Papamoa section!

As a favour to a great client, we went back to our roots in property maintenance and renovation over the weekend.
This flat had a tenant for twenty years and was feeling a little tired, so we gave it some love: *Cleaned walls and ceilings *Restretched carpets* Cleaned carpets *Repaired locks *Repainted hall area *Moss and lichen sprayed on paths, fence and roof *Cleaned filters in heat pumps* Washed curtains.
All for under $1000
It’s lovely to see a property glow, ready for a new family 🤗

In contrast with my last post, sometimes I clean carpets that look pretty clean, but look, feel and smell so much better after some TLC.

Sometimes I get asked to clean carpets that are old and tatty, and I know won’t come up looking like new.
We cleaned a woollen carpet yesterday like this before an estate sale.
It hadn’t been cleaned in years if ever, and new owners will likely replace.
It looks better and feels better and smells better, because it’s a whole lot cleaner.

Just to give you an idea about what it costs to get a cleaner carpet, and how clean it can be …
Here’s a carpet I did this morning.
The house has young guys living in it working in the kiwifruit industry. Lots of parties and takeaways. Grubby.
Hall and lounge, $130+gst. Add $40+gst for additional rooms.
Smells cleaner, looks cleaner. Nicer to walk on.
Just better.
