Engine is the most important component of a moving vehicle. The engine is located at the front of many small light vehicles and trucks. In some other small light vehicles and buses, the engine is found at the back. The place where the engine is located is called the Engine Bay. In the Engine Bay, it is not just the engine but there are also other components and systems such as electronic components (battery, fuse box, etc.) and fluid systems (brake fluid, power steering fluid, coolant, etc.).
The Engine Bay needs to be kept clean to maintain a healthy vehicle. Some issues such as engine oil leaks are more easily visible if the engine is clean so that you can fix it in time before further damages occur. Heavy dust and dirt (sometimes caused by insects/small animals such as rats) can lead to a rusty Engine Bay and can also quickly heat up the engine. If the engine overheats, the internal components can get damaged and the engine oil can get burnt as well. Overheating can also lead to higher fuel consumption and reduced engine power. The coolant radiator hose and the drive belt may crack and damage earlier than their life spans because of the heat. Therefore, it is very important to regularly check and keep the Engine Bay clean.
How to clean the Engine Bay?

Here is Daddy’s Care Pro Tip to clean your vehicle’s Engine Bay:
Before you clean the Engine Bay, make sure the engine has already cooled down. Cover the electronic components with a waterproof plastic sheet. Disconnect the (-) or the female or the black or the negative terminal from the battery. Spray the right good quality degreaser around the engine and the Engine Bay, and scrub with an appropriate brush. Then, rinse off with pressure washer or a regular garden hose if the pressure washer is not available. You can then dry the engine and the Engine Bay with an air blower or a quick dry towel. You can also apply some protectant afterwards to keep the Engine Bay shine and charming.
Important Daily Tip: When you start your car (after having it parked for a couple of hours or more), wait without revving (or speeding) the engine up for about 10-30 seconds before driving. This allows the engine some time to warm up by letting the engine oil circulate across the engine, lubricating all the moving internal components attached to each other. Since the engine starts running only after the internal engine components are lubricated, this daily practice can prevent from the internal engine components getting easily damaged, reduce the chance of the engine up quickly heating up and keeps the engine last longer without reducing its power.
