We would like to apologise to our customers today. It seems a large amount of washing was left in the machines this morning. It was unattended and has not been collected. This has lead to a lot of headaches trying to use the washers. Affected customers did the right thing in removing the unattended washing from machines, however it left an unavoidable mess in the laundromat today. Unfortunately this kind of thing is hard to control as we can't predict who will use the laundromat - but thank you do the wonderful people who informed us of what was happening and were gracious enough to work around it. The clothing has still not been collected so we will keep it out the back until the owner requests it. Have a lovely Easter weekend ☺️

Washing machines are coming back online 🥰

We want to thank all our wonderful customers for bearing with us over the past week. I don’t think we could’ve chosen a worse time to have a malfunction - as we’ve had some very busy days. Thanks to all of you for being patient and kind.

We now have washer 7 back up and running, as well as all the dryers. Washers 1 and 2 should be tomorrow. Keep checking the online status for updates.

Hi lovely customers - due to a power surge, a few machines are out of order (the surge blew the computer hardware in the eftpos terminals).

Washers 1, 2 and 7 - and dryers 12 and 13 are out of order 😭

All other washers (3, 4, 5, 6) are working.

All the other dryers (8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16) are working.

These require new computers so will unfortunately be out for a few days. Keep an eye on our online status for when things come right again (our best guess is early next week).

Kaiwaka and Waipu laundromats are fully operational in the meantime ☺️

Update to our in-store rubbish bin

Hi lovely customers, you might notice a new sign in our laundromat - it'll be where the rubbish bin 'used to' be. We are always working hard to bring you the best washing and drying facilities for the lowest price, and an unexpected cost that we are incurring each week is waste removal. To help keep our prices steady amid so many cost increases (gas, water and electricity), we kindly ask that you please take your rubbish and recycling home with you for disposal - so we can keep offering the best service at the best possible price.

We have water 💧

Maungaturoto Laundromat has a back up water supply meaning we do currently have water. It’s about a day’s worth or reserve so if you have washing that needs doing, come on down.

I’ll give updates if our supply starts getting low.

Eftpos system and machines are working at Maungaturoto Laundromat ☺️

Maungaturoto has a water main issue and while we survived the weekend on our reserve tanks, the Maungaturoto laundromat is now out of water for the rest of the evening. We'll activate the washing machines at 7am Monday to help conserve water. We may need to operate at a reduced capacity tomorrow - we'll keep you updated as events unfold.

The dryers are working as normal ☺️
