A big one underway here - part of a large apartment complex build for Urban Plus Developments, working alongside Miles Construction Ltd.

We’ve installed 120sqm of Nuralite Group Nuraply 3PM torch-on membrane, with some detailed work across the deck areas. Plenty of custom detailing in this one, with Nuralite providing technical support to get it right.

Tyson’s on the tools in this clip, working through the install.

The Kenepuru Early Childhood Centre has been shortlisted for a 2026 Wellington NZIA Architecture Award.

We're proud to have our work on a building earning that recognition.

Designed by Isthmus for Toa Developments and Ngāti Toa, the centre officially opened last month at Kenepuru Landing. It'll serve up to 80 tamariki - the first vertical new-build in what's becoming a significant community hub for the area.

The kōwhai yellow was deliberate. The gable roof form traces Rangituhi maunga to the west. The cladding references the sky glow at sunset. When the architecture has that kind of intent behind it, the roofing and cladding has to match it, and Newton were up for the challenge!

515sqm of Dimondek 400 roofing & 200sqm of wall cladding all in COLORSTEEL® Maxam Radiant Yellow - including the box gutters.

Multiple sites, with multiple builds but the same standard across all of them.

We’ve been on the ground in Upper Hutt this year delivering a series of new builds for Kāinga Ora - six homes across three locations, all running simultaneously with Miles Construction.

We used COLORSTEEL® cladding throughout, supplied by Metalcraft Roofing, and the boys did a great job completing this project.

When the volume is there, the systems have to be there too. When using Newton Roofing, you’ll have one project manager from start to finish, meaning we can deliver your project to the Newton standard, on time, every time.

Most expensive roofing problems don’t start with a storm.

They start years earlier with small things getting ignored.

Things like blocked drainage, poor ventilation, moisture with nowhere to go... Does this sound like a roof that is “still fine for now?”

Then one winter later, it’s mould, leaks, rotten timber, damaged gib, and a much bigger bill than it needed to be.

We see it all the time, and most of it is avoidable.

A roof system that’s maintained properly, ventilated properly, and draining properly will always outperform one that’s left until something fails.

The expensive part usually isn’t the roof.

It’s waiting too long.

Your roof is only as good as your drainage.

A roof’s job is to shed water. What happens after that is what really matters.

If gutters, downpipes, and falls aren’t working properly, water backs up, overflows, and finds its way into places it shouldn’t. That’s where a lot of problems start.

We see it all the time. The roofing itself is fine, but the drainage can’t keep up.

That’s why we look at the full system... how water moves off the roof, where it goes, and whether everything is sized and installed to handle it.

Even a well-installed roof won’t perform if the drainage lets it down.

If heat’s escaping through the roof, no amount of heating is going to fix it. Poor or aging insulation, moisture build-up, or gaps in the system can all mean your home struggles to stay warm - no matter how high the thermostat goes.
