A little decluttering job for a busy mama today! 💗

Her goal was to make a start on clearing out the garage, with plans to eventually turn part of the space into a home office for her hubby.

A carload of items went off to charity (a complimentary service I offer), and we also sorted out a huge pile of goodies to gift to her colleagues, along with some items to sell.

It’s always satisfying helping someone make a start on a space that’s been on their to-do list for a while.

A little crossover between my two businesses…. Done and Dusted Declutter Service and Daughter for a Day 💗

This time it was my own mum who needed a helping hand 🥰

I spent some time decluttering and organising her bedroom, wardrobe and ensuite, clearing out what she no longer needed and making everything feel a little calmer and easier for her.

It’s actually one of the things I really enjoy doing, and a good example of how the two sides of what I do can come together.

Sometimes our parents just need a little help with the things that have become a bit overwhelming, and it’s lovely being able to give them that. ❤️

Back at this lovely clients house to declutter her boys bedroom.
Her boys were very impressed when they arrived home from school and a carload of items left this bedroom and made its way to our new Kerikeri Family Store. Win win 🙏❤️

Fourteen years ago, Hospice Mid-Northland wrapped their care around our family when my dear sweet Nana passed away.
Then last year, they were there for us again when we lost my beautiful sister 😢

The kindness, support, comfort, and care they gave my family during some of the hardest moments in life is something I will never forget. ❤️

Because of that, Hospice will always hold a special place in my heart.

Many people don’t realise that hospice care is free for families and relies heavily on community support and donations to continue the incredible work they do.

One small way I give back is by donating goods from my decluttering jobs to Hospice Shops. It means alot knowing those items help support such an important service in our community.

If you’re able to, please consider supporting Hospice Mid-Northland during Hospice Awareness Week, whether that’s donating, volunteering, shopping at their stores, or simply sharing their message. Every little bit helps. ❤️
